Camberley’s very own prehistoric adventure arrives at The Square

The summer holidays have officially started - if you’re trying to find ways to entertain the kids over the long break - don’t worry, as The Square has it covered with the arrival of their DINOLIVE exhibition.

The summer holidays have officially started – if you’re trying to find ways to entertain the kids over the long break – don’t worry, as The Square has it covered with the arrival of their DINOLIVE exhibition.

Today, the Camberley based Shopping Centre officially opened their doors to welcome DINOLIVE, seeing the prehistoric adventure already prove very popular!
DINOLIVE will continue to be at the centre until Sunday 1st September and The Square is inviting families to go in search to track down the six creatures as part of their FREE summer event.

Camberley’s finest explorers can expect to come face to face with the animatronic dinosaurs, including the Tyrannosaurus which stands 4 metres tall, the Pteranodon –a type of flying reptile and ‘meat eating bull’ the Carnotaurus.

As part of the exhibition, The Square is inviting families to pick-up a leaflet from their Customer Service Desk and answer their fact-finding questions (found next to each dinosaur). Once completed, families can then return their leaflet and children aged 3-12 can win a set of mini dinosaur rubbers1. The Square will also be entering completed dinosaur questionnaires into their free prize draw – with one lucky family wining a £100 gift card to spend at the centre.

Whilst tracking down the dinosaurs, families can stop off and pose for a selfie in The Square’s two giant dinosaur eggs! Families are then being invited to upload their selfie onto The Square’s Facebook page using the hashtag #Dinolivecamberley for the chance to win a £100, £75 or £50 gift card to spend at the centre.

Adventure seekers can also continue the fun with bundles of additional events taking place at The Square. Please see full list below.

• Egg carton dinosaurs with Surrey Heath Museum***. Thursday to Saturday 11am – 3.30pm throughout the school holidays. Suggested donation: £1
• Fun and crafts with Surrey Heath Museum***. 11am – 1.30pm & 2pm – 3.30pm. Booking required. £3 per child
• 7th August – Geology Workshop with Surrey Heath Museum’s resident Geologist, John. Families to learn fascinating facts about rocks and Fossils*
• 14th August – Dino Diggin with Surrey Heath Museum*. Learn about fossils and how they are made. Excavate the sand and find out what’s underneath.
