Camberley Town Centre – The Future!

Surrey Heath Borough Council is seeking views and comments on the next stage in regeneration of Camberley Town Centre. Camberley Town Centre Masterplan

The council is consulting on the draft Camberley Town Centre Masterplan and Public Realm Strategy Supplementary Planning Document (SPD). The consultation runs from the 13th January to the 24th February. Comments received on the draft will inform the final version of the SPD.

The SPD will support the delivery of the vision set out within the Camberley Town Centre Area Action Plan, which was adopted in July 2014 and provides the basis for future change and development in the town centre.

The draft SPD will be available online from **13 January 2015** and at the borough and parish council offices and the borough’s libraries.

Exhibition boards will also be displayed in Surrey Heath Museum, while there will be an opportunity to discuss the SPD with borough council officers between 5pm and 7pm on Tuesday, 20 January and Thursday 22nd January.

Cllr Keith Bush, portfolio holder for Regulatory, said: “I am urging people to submit their comments and views on the draft supplementary planning document to help further shape Camberley Town Centre for the future.

“The supplementary planning document will add detail to the guidance outlined within the Camberley Town Centre Area Action Plan and will establish key parameters for each development site, while adding benefits to the town centre.”
