Families flock to The Square, Camberley for ‘February Fun’ activities
The Square, Camberley welcomed over 700 visitors last week taking part in the shopping centre’s February Fun programme of free activities and events.
The Centre hosts many events for the local community and the latest activities proved highly popular with visiting families. School age children enjoyed a choice of art, craft, dance, music, storytelling, tennis table and football skills sessions. Children made handprint heart canvas pictures, Secret Stage School hosted dance workshops and a visit from Jakes Mini Farm with guinea pigs, rabbits, and stick insects created a huge buzz! The competition to name their baby guinea pig’s captured children’s hearts. As the Square received over 330 entries, Jakes farm awarded 2 prizes of a trip to Jake’s Mini Farm and Playbarn in Sandhurst. Herbert and Sherbert and their brother and sister Cupid and Venus have been duly named!
And that’s not all, springtime stories were shared by Camberley library. Bowman Goalkeeping offered football fun and CYFC coached tennis table in the Ping Pong Parlour. Shoppers also enjoyed a splash of prosecco and chocolates to the music of pianist Charlie Myers, who played classic and romantic favourites on Valentine’s Day.
