As a part of the campaign The Mall also carried out research to understand beauty habits of women in Camberley.

The survey revealed that woman in Camberley spend more time getting ready for a night out with the girls than they do for a date, with 45% of women spending over an hour getting ready for friends, while just 32% would spend the same amount of time getting ready for their partner, with 16% taking under 30 minutes to get ready for their other half.

The research also investigated women’s spending habits on makeup, with the majority of women surveyed in Camberley (29%) owning 5 to 10 products in their makeup bag, with almost a third of younger women aged 16-20 owning 11 to 15 items of makeup (31%).

Yet, 65% of the same age group admitted to only using five to 10 products daily, while women aged 41 – 50 said they used less than five products daily (44%) – meaning that 10 beauty products in Camberley don’t always get daily use.

Almost a third of women (32%) confessed they will buy new makeup once a month, with most opting to spend between £11 – £20 in one purchase (41%). That’s an average spend of £186 a year on makeup!
