Public Open Day for Autism Awareness Month at The Autism Trust and Polly’s Place

The Autism Trust is very proud to hold a Public Open Day this Saturday 23rd April, 10-3pm. They will be opening up the centre to the public to come along and see what the charity does to support individuals, parents, families and the local autism community.

There will be entertainment from Autism Trust’s very own singing group ‘POLLY’S PLACE ANGELS’. A candy floss stall, a raffle and a chance to win a £50 Stella & Dot Voucher will all help the day go with a swing.

The Autism Trust is a Vocational Training Centre which gives young people who are on the autism spectrum the chance to get work experience in an a real working environment, whilst also providing specialised support and encouraging individuals to gain skills.

The POLLY’S PLACE shop, gallery and office is the “hub” of The Autism Trust and from where the vocational training the Autism Trust provide is given.

The Autism Trust is also an Approved Centre to deliver ASDAN qualifications in Employability. The young people who choose this qualification avenue can work towards this qualification alongside their work experience.
