The 2017 Surrey Heath Museum calendar features the work of local photographer, Ron Francis (1922 – 2010).

Ron Francis had a photography business in Camberley for over 50 years. His photographic legacy leaves an archive of more than 20,000 negatives and is part of Surrey Heath Museum’s collection: it includes images of local events, family occasions, individuals, industry, buildings and the wider community. The collection is a unique living history of the area’s development through the eyes of his photographic lens.

The local branches of Nadfas (National Association of Decorative and Fine Art Societies) and the U3A are cataloguing this collection. This calendar features a selection of images which reveal both the wealth of subject matter and the quality of his photography.
