The Collectively Camberley Town Centre Business Awards 2014

With everything from Independent to National retailers, Food & Drink, Hair & Beauty, Professional Services and Entertainment & Leisure Camberley Town Centre has a huge amount to offer and here at Collectively Camberley we like to celebrate the best of the best!

On Wednesday 15th October 2014, the very first Camberley Town Centre Business Awards was held as Camberley Heath Golf Club. We were joined by a huge number of local Town Centre businesses from all sectors, his worshipful The Mayor of Surrey Heath Bob Paton and media partners The Guide2Camberley. The evening was held to recognise and honour those businesses that have gone above and beyond when it comes to Camberley Town Centre and making it a fantastic destination of choice.

Throughout September and early October over 600 members of the public backed their favourite business and voted for the Best Independent Business 2014 and Best Customer Service Experience 2014. The four other awards were selected by our judging panel who kindly volunteered their time to help decide from over 70 entries on the shortlist and ultimately the winners!

Our panel included Fiona Knowlton (Managing Director for TG Media), Louise Punter (Chief Executive for Surrey Chambers), Jeff Caplan (Managing Director for Store Checkers) with judging co-ordinator Zoe Griffiths (Managing Director for Collectively Camberley).

Managing Director for Collectively Camberley, Zoe Griffiths, said:

‘*I am overwhelmed with the response from our local businesses and residents with the number of nominations received for our very first business awards. Having this level of support is key in making Camberley Town Centre a top destination of choice and allowing us to highlight those businesses who have gone above and beyond for 2014. I’d like to thank our media partners TG Media and members of the judging panel for their support in the lead up and prior to the event and working closely with Collectively Camberley throughout the year. It was great to see so many of the Town Centre businesses together in one room with a huge feeling of passion and pride for Camberley. Collectively Camberley cannot work in isolation and it’s the dedication and efforts from you, the businesses, that have brought the Town Centre to where it is today.*’
