The Mall Camberley, Announces Their Chosen Charities for 2016

Chloe’s and Sophie’s Special Ears Fund and British Heart Foundation have been announced as The Mall, Camberley’s chosen charities for 2016, as part of their Mall Cares initiative

Chloe’s and Sophie’s Special Ears Fund are a local charity raising deaf awareness across Hampshire and Surrey, with their very own charity shop in London Road, Just 4 Kids sells a selection of toys, books, clothes and necessities for babies and children, all helping to fund their charity work in the local community.

The Mall will also be supporting British Heart Foundation, after supporting them throughout 2015 through a selection of events including their annual Wear Red day and a gift wrapping stall over the festive season.

In 2015, The Mall, Camberley raised almost £3400 for both British Heart Foundation and Frimley Park Hospital, thanks to staff at The Mall taking part in sponsored swims and fundraising events, as well as support from shoppers through the #unselfie campaign and generous donations.

Glenis Grossmith, Mall Cares leader at The Mall, Camberley, said “We’re thrilled to be supporting two great charities again this year, of which are close to our hearts at The Mall. In 2015 we raised a fantastic amount with help from our supportive shoppers, and we hope to have the same success again this year.”

The Mall Cares campaign has raised over £300,000 for local charities and causes since it first launched in 2007, including over £50,000 last year throughout a variety of charitable activities in-centre.
