The Mall Camberley goes green for the launch of Enviromall week!
This year the focus of Enviromall Week is to tackle the overuse of plastic bags. Every year more than 10 billion plastic bags are used by shoppers with the majority ending up in landfill sites and take hundreds of years to break down.
The Mall is tackling this problem by staging its Great British Bag Swap that will be taking place from Sunday June 8th. Shoppers can swap 10 plastic carrier bags at the centres Ask Me Point for their own free cotton shopper bag for life.
The Mall will be also holding its own Enviromall Day on **Sunday June 8th** with an eco-themed art activity **FREE** for families to take part in. Its a free, fun family event where creative children and families can create their own unique Bag for Life with the help of a professional artist from The Creation Station.
Families wanting to take part in the Enviromall Day master class art activity, which will run from 11.30am until 4.30pm, can pre-register at the Ask Me Point or turn up on the day.
**Glen Fulton, General Manager at The Mall Camberley**, said: This year our Enviromall Week is dedicated to tackling the overuse of plastic bags and our Great British Bag Swap is aimed at encouraging shoppers to reuse the bags for life we are giving away. We also have top tips for how shoppers can reuse plastic bags they already have to try and reduce the amount sent to landfill.
